A political controversy has erupted over alleged irregularities in the renovation and development works of the temple tank (Koneru) at the historic Kadiri Khadreeswara Temple. Coalition leaders have accused certain officials of involvement in a massive financial scam worth several crores of rupees and have demanded a comprehensive Vigilance inquiry into the matter.
